Garibaldi Provincial Park

Campsite on 1400m over sealevel. In the background you can see the Black Tusk, an ancient volcano, with a height of 2400m.

Lake Garibaldi

The very beautiful Lake Garibaldi (on the right side the view from the Black Tusk; Pacific Ocean and Vancouver Island can be seen in the background) on a wonderful day, maybe the nicest day in the area of Vancouver in 1999.

Food-Storage because of the bears that live in this area.

Lake Garibaldi as seen from the Black Tusk

This was a two day trip. It took as one day to climb from 400m to 1400m with about 17kg of luggage (food, water, tent,...). The second day we did the last 1000m of elevation and climbed Black Tusk with just a bottle of water within about two hours. After that we had to walk down 2000m in order to reach the bus to Vancouver
