Goblin Valley State Park

It's wellknown to Europeans that there are streets in the US that are just straight. Driving them one may sometimes forget why there is a steering wheel... There is such a highway (24) between Hanksville and Green River. It goes straight through the desert, but somewhere there is a crossroad where there is a street leaving to the left. I'm not sure anymore whether there actually is a sign that shows the way to Goblin Valley State Park, but don't miss it!!! This small uncrowded park is just plain fun. Melted rock formations - looking like a Salvador Dali fantasy - fill a stadium-like valley where visitors are free to wander up to, among and through them. Kids and also adults have a blast. The evocative 'goblins' do make you feel like you are on another planet.
